Bio:

Began swimming at age 8 for the Bowling Green Swim Club in Ohio and continued through college at Bowling Green State University as a distance freestyler/butterflier.Married and moved to Salt Lake City after graduating with degree in Education in 1976. Coached a local high school and summer rec. team from '78 - '81. Founded and head coached USS team "Swim Utah Firewater" from 1981-1991. Moved to So. Cal and built satellite program at Esperanza HS in Yorba Linda for Fullerton Aquatics before being hired as FAST head coach in 1992. Moved back to Utah to coach for one more year at Steiner Aquatics. Left coaching all together after Spring Nationals '94. Worked as a project manager for an internet start up company called I-Link Worldwide in Draper, UT through Jan. 2001. Went back to swimming at a local private Athletic Club in Sandy, UT and founded the Life Centre Swim Academy while pursuing product ideas for teaching and training competitive swimmers. Built the first breaststroke fin prototype in Sept. 2001 and applied for US patent. Contacted Speedo USA in Oct. '02 and signed licensing agreement with parent company Warnaco, Corp. in May '04. Patent was issued in '03. Began working on another product idea to help teach the freestyle flip turn. Fully developed finished product independently by summer '05 and launched the world's first flip turn trainer called the "FlipTrain Station" . . . www.fliptrain.com at the ASCA World Clinic and Expo. in Ft. Lauderdale that Sept. Currently building and marketing this product as an independent and loving it! (patent is pending)

Married for 31 years to Trish who co-owns Park City Dance Academy, www.parkcitydance.com . Three children: Twin daughters both teaching dance at local high schools and son who swam and played water polo for Golden West College in Huntington Beach before transferring to the Univ. of Utah where he is currently ('07) in his Sr. year as an engineering major.
