Mario...
I would'nt test lactate in children.
In any case it is a simple equipment and procedure...here it is:

Thanks Toma's.

Children don't get the same build up as adults pre-puberty so Tomas is right and, to be honest, unless the swimmers are competing at National level and above there would be limited benefit. That said you can still do the training sessions to teach them to deal with the build up, tolerance and removal

Thanks GW. What is the Sweetenham book you spoke about earlier.

It's a book by Bill Sweetenham called 'Championship Swim Training', which James purchased a few months ago.

Wow GW - you has really good memory! yeah I has it so I will have look at it anyway I love hard work cos if I don't feel any improvements, I do get grumpy easily if I not swim 100%

James, u have to swim faster in training if you want to swim fast in the race.
Focus on every stroke and always push yourself to ur limit ( motivation will do it )By working really hard in training, you will get exhausted in the end but during tapering period, you will become more confident .I look forward to know your next meet's improvement.

I just finished my race and did a PB in 50m freestyle. currently, i don't think i am built for 100m race but 50m race.I will concentrate on freestyle and backstroke .I am also trying to swim freestyle with dolphin kick ( is it possible to be faster than freestyle ?? I don't know) . I also do a lot of 25m swim for butterfly ( just try to perfect my technique ).I will start my very first gym traininig from March and hope i can become stronger : )
