Recording data poolside

Does anybody know of any 'tool' which swimmers can use for recording HR / swim times etc themselves poolside which still operates when wet? I am gradually getting mine to take responsibility for their own data but after a tough session memory is not what it could be and pencil and paper get saturated. I want them to be able to take it home and record in their log books, bring it back for next session, so I guess it also needs to be eraseable.
Any thoughts

There are devices to do this.... on www.sportemotion.com they have one of those. It's a device that sticks to the wall under water wich you press every lane you make....I will find out what its called.......

You can also use plexyglass and grease pencils. They work when wet and the boards can be cleaned after workout and re-used.

Thanks, Chris. I might get the club to invest in some pencils and make up some boards but also use the clock to help me.

we use dry erase boards and china markers..the swimmers record their own pulses, stroke counts, times, etc. and I just pick up the tablets after the set and record them in my book. The cheapest way to get more bang for your buck is to buy a big dry erase board at a home improvement store and cut them into small tablets...Good luck!

Just to finish this off, we bought some acetate clipboards and china graph pencils. They work a treat. Thanks for all your help.
