Does any one know who is the swimmer in this link (Posted by Windrath)

Although I don't know who the swimmer is (not clear enough for facial recognition), it is likely an older video for a couple of reasons. The swimmer is using the original grab start stance with both feet at the front of the block - not many swimmers use this anymore for a variety of reasons. The other reason is that he is swimming front quadrant freestyle, but does not really focus on the high elbow catch as much as the current preferred technique.

Good Luck!

Summer League Practice Schedules (Posted by Paige)

Thanks GW. I like the idea of keeping a diary. My goal is to provide a rewarding experience for the swimmers and get them excited about future swimming. We just found out we have to adjust our practice schedule and our older and/or advanced swimmers will be practicing from 8-9 pm, a couple weeks 8:30-9:30 pm. Being a mom of an 8 yr old, the late practice concerns me. I am looking for advice to pass along to the parents, such as nutrition, so the swimmers can keep their energy levels up. I may be over thinking it...kids plus summer usually equals an energy surplus.

Summer League Practice Schedules (Posted by GW)

Have fun and enjoy the experience. If you are enjoying things the kids will almost certainly do so too. As Jeff said, keep a diary. Note which things worked and which things maybe not so much. If possible have a note about why that might have been. Also, if it's not working, even during a session, don't be afraid to change it up. Good luck
