Flexibility! And the surprise is really neat too, thanks Glenn!

OK, that was fun. I've never used a QR scanner before, but it was easy. I wish that when I did my butterfly earlier today I'd looked anything at all like this swimmer. I need to watch that surprise a few times before the next time I do fly.

She looks like a sine wave. The middle of her torso is where the origin of the X & Y axes meet. Her hips are at the top of the sine curve on the interval [0,pi]. And her shoulders/chest are at the bottom of the curve on the interval [-pi,0]. Feet and hands are on the X-axis.

I love how she's leading with her chest as she grabs the water. I need to work on that more.

QR is cool isn't it? Watch for more secrets like that. :)

Glenn, can you have some secrets for me too on a normal computer?..
... Nice chest pressing with high hips, hands feeling the catch and yes "kick your hands in".
I need to make a profile picture of my butterfly, see if I can find some one to take a picture. Thanks Glenn for keeping this site intriguing and lots of fun with these secrets especially when I do not have access to this, but that makes it even more intriguing..

Are you one of the holdouts without an iPhone or Android?

Responded Aug 12, 2011 06:19PM

What are "holdouts"?... meaning holding on, on old fashioned established techniques? Yes then I am a "holdout". Probably I am too old for this web site... Boehoeh... (kidding) I am happy with my cellphone, my computer and my bicycle. (getting so nervous from all these new technical toys) So I have to pay for my being a "holdout" in letting go of my curiosity. .. By the way I love this website!

Don't worry... we have something brewing for the non-app users. However, it more than likely will have app integration at some point, but you'll be fine. Thanks for the kudos on the site. We try. :)

Do I see mirrors at the bottom of the pool?

Responded Aug 12, 2011 09:00PM

Yes you do. It's from a new video.

Responded Aug 16, 2011 10:14AM

When is the new video planned to be released? BTW. I've heard you're coming to Poland later this year for a talk during the Swimshop Battle conference, true ?

Responded Aug 16, 2011 10:27AM

Working on the video very hard right now. Hopefully within the next couple of weeks. Yes, heading to Poland toward the end of September. Really looking forward to it, you going to be there?

Responded Aug 16, 2011 11:35AM

I'm planning to be there, but just as a swimming enthusiast... I'm not good enough for the competition :) maybe next year.

Responded Aug 16, 2011 11:11PM

I like how she landed her hands softly on top of the water, kept them nice and high without "freestyling" them done, setting her up for a spring loaded snap back up to the surface. Very nice.

Responded Aug 16, 2011 11:19PM

"freestyling" them down, not "done". I'll blame it on my smartphone

Responded Aug 17, 2011 12:03AM

Seriously though... it's a beautiful little video isn't it? For those of you NOT using the app yet... the iPhone5 is on the horizon! ;)
