On his kick.

Has he got a belt under the chest to weigh him in order to work on his kick ? Or simply a hairy chest... I thought swimmers were removing any hair to be smooth like a fish.

maintaining body line while working with a kick board (as Barbara stated). The snorkel to make a kick set an aerobically taxing set, which in most cases kicking on its own is not.

I love this stuff, even though you keep staring at the bottom, I focus on my ankles (and toes) keeping them loose while I kick is possible with snorkel kick. No thoughts into breathing.

lol... Camy... that's what the full body suits are for!!! Besides, even swimmers that shave only shave at the end of the season. :)

wow using this snorkel is great idea cos I ususally have a neck strain while doing kicking etc

Snorkels are very good! My swim coach has us tape the tops with duck tape, and then he pokes a hole with his car keys. Which really takes the fun out of them :(

Responded Jul 20, 2009 12:06PM

Coaches are always looking for fun ways to change up tools. Much FUN! Ugh!

Responded Jul 20, 2009 09:54PM

he is just trying to complete the last 500 meters of the session :)

Responded Jul 20, 2009 10:09PM

500 meters is half his practice. :)

Responded Jul 21, 2009 02:21AM

Is he tapering then? :p

Iam allso thinking to buy a snorkel, is it hard difficult to get used to snorkel 'cause as a normal swimmer i am used to turn my head to breathe.

Responded Aug 28, 2009 12:17PM

It takes a few times using the snorkel to get used to it, but it's not hard. You might find it helpful to wear nose clips. Go for it. It's a great tool.
