"...what makes a swim technique DVD a valuable resource is how well the swim talent is filmed..." Toot, toot :) Shame I've got to wait until Xmas! |

Nice little bit on that blog. He speaks the truth, I am excited to see this one and need to get a couple more. I own the Peirsol and Hansen video, amazing. How you get to see several stroke cycles uninterrupted is key in these videos. I am not receiving any compensation for my opinion, but it would be nice :) |

Do people really know how to benefit from these videos. I've always had this question for myself. I do really enjoy watching good swimmers but I'm not sure whether I benefit from it. As so much depends on your individual physical characteristics like flexibility, strength, breathing, your personal feel of the water and the presence of not so few different techniques coaches use - it gets so confusing. The coaches at our only indoor pool are so reluctant to give any feedback to master swimmers or even make their workouts more fun that I often do this myself through your wonderful site. And some of the drills raise their eyebrows. |

Hi, Lilyana. If you haven't already watched one of our DVDs, please try one! They give you extremely clear visual images to take with you in your head to the pool. Even if you pick up just one body position or movement or focus point from the athlete -- it will improve your swimming and give you something to work on at practice. It might be the way Kara Lynn Joyce holds her forearm on the catch, or the way Aaron Peirsol holds his elbow during the pull, or how Margaret Hoelzer moves her feet during the underwater dolphin. Seeing clear images and slow-motion footage of elite athletes will benefit you. The voiceover explains the big things these athletes do... that are do-able (at least try-able) by every swimmer. |

Thank you for your reply, Barbara. I'll surely give it a try. |
We are a group of swimmers who swim really fast, and like to help others learn how to reach their competitive potential in the area of professional swimming.
