One of the best races ever, and a very exciting Olympic meet overall. I love listening to Rowdy call a race. He sees things happening before anybody else and has great insight.

Responded Jul 06, 2009 12:07PM

Thanks for the repost Adrian. Beautiful and loved hearing it from a non-US point of view. Great stuff.

Responded Jul 06, 2009 01:44PM

Wow. What a treat to see the entire race from under water. Puts you totally into that world. Thanks for posting this.

Hi Glenn...I am sure you are going to love this clip of "The Race"
Starring: Misty Hymann (200 butterfly final Sydney 2000)

Responded Jul 06, 2009 07:21PM

Tomas, thanks so much for the video!!! :) :) :) :) :) :)

Responded Jul 06, 2009 10:34PM

The reason why Misty Hyman won this race over the way she moved - hips up and down flowing more like dolphin than others - hey Glenn and Barbara! I deserves a credit cos I am one who first put underwater swimming

Responded Jul 07, 2009 04:02AM

Yeah, thanks for the random video that has nothing to do with the free relay from Beijing.

Responded Jul 07, 2009 10:31AM

Has anyone got other underwater videos of olympic races ? It's so amazing and instructive.

Responded Jul 07, 2009 02:15PM

Hey wonderboy (or so you say)...you have been looking for trouble repeatedly for quite some time now. I warn you, you are walking on very thin ice. Please stop making those sarcastic comments on every post that I send.

Responded Jul 07, 2009 02:50PM

A sarcastic comment is a lot different than a threat. Let's keep it civil.

World championship is coming soon, at the end of the month in Rome, Italy.
It has been said that Phelps trains on shorter distances. There will be fight between him and our french champions Alain Bernard, Fred Bousquet and Amaury Levaux !

Responded Jul 07, 2009 07:09PM

I literally, physically freak out every time I watch that race. If they had to do it again today... do you think the U.S. would still be able to pull it off?

Responded Jul 07, 2009 07:15PM

Do you mean kind of like an old-fashioned, come-as-you-are pajama party? Hold it this weekend no matter what kind of shape they're in at the moment? That would be interesting.

Responded Jul 07, 2009 07:34PM

@Trev - I'm not sure the anchor on France's relay would swim it the same way. I also think that Michael would be fresher. That's the beautiful thing about it though. It's like the 1980 US Hockey Team... if they played the Russian's 10 times, they may have only won twice.

If the timing is right, you only need to win one. :)

Responded Jul 08, 2009 11:18AM

yes camy: Master Phelps will set som new records on short distances and maybe even some better ending , remember this one what he did to cavic .

Responded Jul 08, 2009 07:56PM

here is a recent interview with the Master Phelps :
