Swimming with the Masters this morning

My friends (ABC, the Annapolis Breakfast Club) who swim in the same pool each morning have a standard Friday morning practice.  Depending on how you approach it, it can either be easy or hard.  We did their practice, and the goal was to go at a fairly high intensity through the entire practice.  The intervals are fairly easy, so the pace needed to be held high through each swim.  While it gives you good rest, it also becomes very tiresome by the end.

• 1,000 choice warm-up

Main Set
• 400 free on 6:00
• 2 x 200 on 2:50
• 4 x 100 on 1:25

• 300 pull on 4:30
• 2 x 150 pull on 2:10
• 4 x 75 pull on 1:00

• 200 IM on 3:00
• 2 x 100 IM on 1:30
• 4 x 50 stroke, IM order by 50 on :50

• 100 kick on 1:45
• 2 x 50 kick on :50
• 4 x 25 kick on :30

• 100 easy loosen

4,100 yards
All distances are in short-course yards.

Thank you for noting if distances are in yards or in meters. Because it matters a lot !
Depending on our swimming level, of course...

I like your comments, Juan. I am learning Spanish. Let's see if I can translate without any dictionary.

First comment: This is very interesting and a little fast, but not too fast; it's good.

Second comment: Sorry for making comments in Spanish, but my English is so bad that I thank you for accepting them in Spanish.

Glenn's response: I am using an automated translator; I hope that it works. Don't worry if the intervals are too fast; you can adjust them as you need to.

Juan's last comment: Thanks for the help, thanks lots!

(I won't do this again unless it is useful to anyone...)

Isobel....if possible, and can help you with your spanish, it was a great help to me to see it translated...unfortunately I do not speak Spanish, but I can see, that I'll need to learn it very soon :-)....on the other hand I can look up the words in a dictionary and figure out.....it is not that hard, just requires a little more attention.

...the set is very good....I hope, I can try it on Saturday next wk! thanks for it!

Will do my best until someone tells me not to. I have seen other comments from Juan; I'll go look for them. Keep in mind I am learning, not proficient!

Juan, dale en español que te escucho, soy brasileño, pero de frontera con Uruguay. If you can write in English, I'm learning too.
