Good question, because 3K is usually my limit in terms of daily yardage in the time available to swim. When tapering for nats, I like to keep my total yardage at 2500 to 2600, because I will be swimming that much every day at the meet (with warmups, events, and warmdowns). During taper I usually swim for the same amount of time during a workout (70 minutes), but increase the amount of fast swimming and increase the amount of rest and easy swimming. |
We are a group of swimmers who swim really fast, and like to help others learn how to reach their competitive potential in the area of professional swimming.
