what does descend 1-4 mean?

Responded Jan 20, 2009 01:49PM

Hi Roger. It means descend your time on the first 4 swims, i.e., swim #2 is faster than #1... swim #3 is fasters than #2, etc. But, the more important assignment in that set of 20 X 100 is to descend your times on swims #4, #8, #12, #16, and #20. Start very conservatively at the beginning of the set!
