Let us know how YOU would answer the following Question of the Week.

It's halftime at the Super Bowl and they are setting up the above-ground pool at the 50-yard line. What would be the best, most appropriate, two-swimmer contest for the halftime show?

Lochte - Peirsol 200 back rematch.

Responded Feb 01, 2008 11:49AM

That's definitely one I'd like to see, but as a breaststroker, I'd say a 100m breast rematch between Kitajima and Hansen -- or maybe 200 so I could watch them swim longer :)

Since this question is like science fiction, with swimming taking the stage with the super bowl, how about Mark Spitz time warped to being born in the mid 80's vs. Michael Phelps in the 100 Fly.

Responded Feb 02, 2008 04:48AM

Michael Phelps and Brendon Hanson.
200 IM but, instead of the usual order of fly, back, breast, free. the order of the IM is randomly selected.

:)

How about two learn-to-swimmers who have just mastered the free style kick on a kick board race? Just as a reminder of where it all started!

I'd have liked to see Dave D. race Gary Hall Jr. in a 50m Breast, with Gary's legs bound. 2 great racers, 2 great show-men, and an honest-to-god race. :)

That's a race I'd like to see too. Good call.

How about a Manning/Brady waterpolo match -- either a 15-minute session or sudden death?

Responded Feb 04, 2008 06:39PM

If Gary thinks he can handle it, I'm in!!!

I'll bet he's too scared.

Responded Feb 05, 2008 01:13PM

You know he's shaking in his boxers...:)
